Community Marketing Specialist

About the role:

Are you a talented and creative individual? Data Science Dojo is seeking a Community Marketing Specialist to join our rapidly growing Sales and Marketing team.  

As the Community Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a delightful end-to-end user experience for our community, managing events and programs from planning to post-event activities. In this role, you will build and cultivate positive long-term relationships with all event stakeholders, especially online seminar presenters, and sponsors, while consistently seeking to improve event execution and procedures.

What you will do:

  • Design and deliver online/virtual meetup events using market and customer research 
  • Identify potential event speakers/influencers/presenters through market research 
  • Develop and manage annual event plans for the company, coordinating with internal calendars and publicizing event dates  
  • Produce detailed event proposals, coordinate services, and logistics  
  • Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations, monitor activities, and update checklists and project plans  
  • Collaborate with content and video teams to set up post-event social media and YouTube content  
  • Use social media and email marketing to promote events 

What we are looking for:

  • An undergraduate degree in business administration, Marketing, Event Management, Project Management, or a related field  
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing successful events and webinars  
  • Strong communication, goal-setting, and decision-making skills  
  • Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and maintain composure under pressure  
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems  
  • Excellent time management and negotiation skills  
  • Proven track record of enabling teams and building cross-functional relationships  
  • Creative problem solver with a commitment to continuous improvement  
  • Should be able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
