What you will do:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. 
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice verification, processing payments, and reconciling discrepancies. 
  • Payments and Vendor Correspondence: Manage the processing of various payments, including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and other financial transactions. Additionally, handle vendor correspondence to address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive vendor relationships. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in payment processing.  
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Aid in the development and monitoring of budgets, as well as contributing to forecasting models to support decision-making processes. 
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, cost control, and identification of financial trends to provide actionable insights to management. 
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, and making journal entries as required. 
  • Compliance and Auditing: Participate in audit processes and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. 
  • Financial Software and Systems: Learn and utilize financial software to process transactions and maintain financial records. 
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support financial and accounting processes and provide assistance as needed. 
  • Research and Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and evolving accounting standards to contribute fresh perspectives and improvements to existing processes. 

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of a BBA/MBA in Finance and Accounts or related field. 
  • Previous internship or practical experience in finance and accounts is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis. 
  • Familiarity with financial software and systems. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Ability to work well in a team and learn in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in work.  
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems. 
  • Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance. 
  • Basic knowledge of tax regulations. 
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies and methodologies. 
  • Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of tasks and work extra hours to meet deadlines. 
  • An understanding of confidentiality issues and the use of discretion.
