Job Role: We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Accounting Trainee to join our finance team. In this role, you’ll get hands-on experience across key accounting functions, from preparing financial reports and managing payments to supporting budgeting, audits, and financial analysis. You’ll work with real data and collaborate across teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our financial operations. What you will do:

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Keep track of critical filing deadlines, including federal and state tax submissions, annual returns, and other statutory compliance requirements.
  • Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice verification, processing payments, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Manage the processing of various payments, including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and other financial transactions. Additionally, handle vendor correspondence to address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive vendor relationships. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in payment processing.
  • Aid in the development and monitoring of budgets, as well as contributing to forecasting models to support decision-making processes.
  • Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and reconcile financial transactions to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, cost control, and identification of financial trends to provide actionable insights to management.
  • Participate in audit processes and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Learn and utilize financial software to process transactions and maintain financial records.

What we are looking for:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (BBA/MBA); internship or academic project experience is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory concepts.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel and an interest in learning accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Willingness to develop analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt quickly, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
