Senior Finance & Accounts Specialist

What you will do:

  • Oversee various financial functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial, and Management Accounting. 
  • Manage the financial reporting for the organization, which includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, yearly and long-term financial plans, and all statutory financial reporting. 
  • Provide sound financial support and insights to enable management to make critical business decisions. 
  • Manage and oversee the taxation affairs of the organization and liaise with external tax firms for specialist advice to ensure maximum benefit can be secured. 
  • Manage and oversee the company’s cash flow and ensure appropriate controls are in place. 
  • Ensure the organization is compliant with accounting standards. 
  • Support in identifying new business opportunities for long-term sustainability through meaningful commercial insights, rational decision-making, and cost consciousness, thus generating higher shareholder value. 
  • Review financial reports submitted by various teams or departments and consolidate them into a comprehensive report for management. 
  • Ensure that monthly financial reports are submitted on time and follow up with various teams or departments to ensure they meet their deadlines. 
  • Assist with internal audits by reviewing financial data, conducting interviews, and preparing reports on findings and recommendations to ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with internal policies and external regulations. 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA CA CPA or CMA certification preferred. 
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field. 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Solid understanding of at least one accounting and bookkeeping software such as Quickbooks, Xero 
  • High proficiency in financial modeling & good IT literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, ERP Systems – SAP) 
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and good commercial acumen. 
  • High sense of urgency, work ethic, and must be flexible to work in a dynamic environment. 
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision; must be a self-starter. 
  • Must demonstrate financial responsibility and reliability. 
  • Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of tasks and work extra hours to meet deadlines. 
  • An understanding of confidentiality issues and the use of discretion.
