About the role

Data Science Dojo seeks an enthusiastic individual to join our rapidly growing organization as a Data Scientist. In this role, you will create engaging content for our training programs, assist in delivery, conduct research and analysis, and solve real-world problems using cutting-edge technology.   Effective communication of results to clients is also expected. Leveraging insights from credible sources is crucial to adding value to our work. Collaboration with exceptional individuals across engineering, development, marketing, and social media teams is required. Fluency in English is necessary. 

What you’ll do

Your mission

9 responsibilities
  1. Define and implement machine learning algorithms using structured and unstructured data sources 
  2. Configure end-to-end components of a big data pipeline for data science problems 
  3. Create and deliver course content for training programs 
  4. Discover interesting data sets and find innovative ways to incorporate them into tutorials and workshops 
  5. Design and write tutorials for data science, big data, and predictive analytics tools 
  6. Create engaging blog posts about industry happenings and Data Science Dojo 
  7. Manage git repository and code samples used in workshops and training programs 
  8. Present analysis findings and explain models to clients and participants 
  9. Define metrics of success for products and services and track progress 

What we are looking for

Required
  • An undergraduate degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Economics, or a related field 
  • 2+ years of experience using quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions, devise strategies, and measure project progress 
  • Applied knowledge of Python, Hive, Pig, Mahout, Java, and C# 
  • Substantial coursework and practical experience in data management, data warehousing, machine learning, and statistical inference 
  • Working knowledge of big data concepts such as Hadoop, MapReduce, and HDFS 
  • Familiarity with data tools and services in Azure, AWS, and/or GCP ecosystem 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Willingness to work independently and in a team 
  • Passion for data science and machine learning 
  • Experience as an instructor or TA in data science 
  • Understanding of Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Hotjar to extract valuable insights
