Accounting Specialist

What you will do:

  • Reconcile day-to-day financial transactions meticulously to maintain precise and up-to-date records. 
  • Ensure correct invoicing procedures and maintain proper ledgers for all vendor transactions. 
  • Keep financial records up to date by running reconciliation reports daily. 
  • Efficiently manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accurate financial tracking. 
  • Prepare and submit financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. 
  • Reconcile bank statements to guarantee accuracy and identify any discrepancies in financial data. 
  • Utilize accounting software, including Xero and Zoho Books for efficient bookkeeping and record-keeping. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate accurate financial reporting and ensure timely completion of accounting tasks. 
  • Process monthly payroll including taxes, and benefits, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. 
  • Keep track of annual and quarterly due dates and payments for tax filing, ensuring submissions are on time.   
  • Maintain confidentiality in all financial transactions to safeguard sensitive information. 
  • Assist in ensuring regulatory compliance through accurate record-keeping and documentation. 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA CA CPA or CMA certification preferred. 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting and bookkeeping, or related field. 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Solid understanding of at least one accounting and bookkeeping software such as Xero. 
  • High proficiency in financial modeling & good IT literacy (Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and good commercial acumen. 
  • High sense of urgency, and work ethic, and must be flexible to work in a dynamic environment. 
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision; must be a self-starter. 
  • Must demonstrate financial responsibility and reliability. 
  • Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to juggle various tasks and work extra hours to meet deadlines. 
  • An understanding of confidentiality issues and the use of discretion.
