TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR GIVEAWAY
The organizer, Data Science Dojo, is a Washington State Limited Liability Company with registered office at 2205 152nd Ave NE Redmond, WA 98052. The Giveaway is open to all Attendees of the Future of Data and AI (The Conference), aged 18 or older with the following terms and conditions.
Eligibility
Attendees of the Future of Data & AI Conference who register for the event via an eligible LinkedIn profile (500+ LinkedIn connections) can enter the Giveaway. The Organizer reserves the right to deem any entrees ineligible for any reason including but not limited to:
- A fake or suspicious LinkedIn profile
- Multiple entrees for the Giveaway
Giveaway Prize
The Winner(s) of the Giveaway will receive a Prize. The specifics of the Prize shall be solely determined by the Organizer. No cash or other substitution shall be permitted except at the Organizer’s discretion. Any and all Prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the Winner.
Winner(s) Selection
The Winner(s) of the Giveaway will be selected by a random drawing from respondents of survey sent via email after the Conference. All entries must fulfill all Giveaway requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a Prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Organizer.
Number of Entries
Only one entry is allowed per respondent. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission will be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of the Organizer.
Selection Notification to Winner(s)
The Winner(s) will be announced on the Organizer’s social media channels. The Organizer will reach out to the Winner(s) through the provided emails. The Organizer shall have no liability for the Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for the Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If a Winner fails to accept the Prize within three business days of receiving the notification of winning, the Prize will be forfeited and an alternate Winner will be selected. The Winner’s receipt of the Prize offered in this Giveaway is contingent upon their adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY WINNER WHO VIOLATES ANY OF THESE TERMS (AT THE ORGANIZER’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AS THE WINNER OF THE GIVEAWAY AND ALL PRIVILEGES ASSOCIATED WITH BEING A WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
Validity and Redemption of Giveaway Prize
The Winner(s) must claim and redeem the Prize within a two-month period after winning the Prize, or the Prize will be forfeited without any liability to the organizer. No extensions or exceptions will be granted beyond the specified two-month validity period.
Rights Granted by Winner(s)
By participating in this Giveaway and/or accepting the Prize, you acknowledge and agree that the Organizer and its licensees, successors, and assigns shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, LinkedIn profile, testimonials, picture and statements about the Conference, now or in the future, for an indefinite period, and without limitation, for the purposes of advertising, marketing, public relations, and promotion, without any further compensation, notice, review or consent.
If you do not wish your entry, name, LinkedIn profile, testimonial, and picture to be utilized for marketing, public relations, or promotional objectives. You can contact the Organizer’s representatives at [email protected] and include a screenshot along with a brief explanation of your intentions. Data Science Dojo will use information for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence.
By participating in this Giveaway, you represent and warrant that your entry is an original work of authorship and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If your entry infringes upon the intellectual property rights of another, you will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Organizer. If the content of your entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, you shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organizer from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liability, loss, damage, costs or expense, which the Organizer may incur, suffer, or be required to pay arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement of any third party’s right.
Winners' Responsibilities
The Winner(s) are not allowed to transfer, assign, or convey their rights to the Prize to anyone else. Each Winner is limited to one Giveaway Prize only. The Winner(s) must provide accurate and complete information when claiming their Prize.
Disqualification
The Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Giveaway if a virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond the Organizer’s control corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Giveaway. The Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway or website or violates these Terms & Conditions. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. If such an attempt is made, the Organizer reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Disclaimer of Warranty
The material and any information, content, or services made available to the Winner as a Prize of the Giveaway are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind (express, implied, or otherwise), including, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except as far as any such implied warranties may not be disclaimed under applicable law.
The Organizer does not warrant that the Prize will meet your needs or expectations. The Organizer also makes no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or quality of the Prize.
Use of the Prize is at your own discretion and risk, and you will be solely responsible for any damage to your property (including your computer system) or loss of data that results from the download or use of the Prize.
Limitation of Liability
By participating in this Giveaway, you agree to release and hold harmless the Organizer and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the Giveaway and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any Prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.
Governing Law:
The terms of this Giveaway shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States of America.
