Job Responsibilities

  • Develop Data Science Dojo’s course content and assist in curriculum development for our bootcamp materials 
  • Find interesting datasets and come up with innovative ways to use them in tutorials, bootcamps, and meetups 
  • Research, curate, write, and record tutorials on various data science, big data, and predictive analytics topics 
  • Write interesting blog posts about the happenings at Data Science Dojo and the rest of the industry 
  • Curate code samples used in our workshops and bootcamps and manage the associated git repository

Basic Qualifications

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of data science and machine learning, as well as basic principles of statistical inference 
  • Working towards a bachelor’s or higher degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Economics 
  • Proficiency in R and RStudio is essential. Knowledge of Python is beneficial, so is familiarity with any of the following: Hive, Pig, Mahout 
  • Working knowledge of big data concepts like Hadoop, MapReduce, and HDFS, as well as familiarity with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP ecosystem would be helpful 
  • Demonstrated experience using quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions, build and communicate plans, and monitor and measure progress.
