The bootcamp was a great introduction to several key concepts in Data Science and encourages you to think behind the codes and methods you are using. You can only Google so much, but when you’ve got the access to the data scientists that are here, it just makes things so much easier. It seems like science fiction right now to a lot of people when you mention machine learning they think you’re talking about something that is unattainable and it’s really not the case. The atmosphere it’s been heavily interactive, you know. So it’s not a one-sided kind of lecture mode which I personally hate. The participants are also telling their own experience of whatever concepts we are discussing, whatever business problems we are discussing, so this materials probably you will get in internet if you search over google, but there is no interactive session to make you understand that’s a plus point. [The bootcamp] was a great experience. The curriculum was well balanced of theory and hands-on labs. The instructor really helps us move from topic to topic and we are able to gain a certain level of knowledge that we need to become practitioners of these tools. One of the things you do when you get out of the bootcamp is to try to apply everything. The class is heavily intensive with theories, practicals and useful software that keeps you ahead of the data science demands. However amazingly, the instructors are able to make difficult theories to simple illustrations and example. Of course you need to keep eyes and ears awake. The class was engaging with questions, laughters and comments. I am excited and look forward to use all the things I learn in the week to my work.
