About the role:

Are you a skilled web developer searching for an exciting opportunity to showcase your tech-skills? Look no further than the Data Science Dojo! As a Web Developer, you will be working with our team of experts to optimize our web portal and improve the user experience.   

You’ll work closely with our developers, software engineers, product design, and marketing teams to improvise the user experience and enhance user journey. If you’re passionate about data and using trends to drive success, we want you on our team!  

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain the company’s website, ensuring functionality, responsiveness, and a visually appealing design. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and content creators, to implement and update website content. 
  • Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code using best development practices. 
  • Optimize the website for its better performance, speed, and SEO techniques. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality and performance. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in web development to propose innovative solutions. 
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members when needed. 
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of WordPress and its associated plugins. 

What we are looking for:

  • An undergraduate degree in Software or Computer Engineering, Design, Communications, or a related field OR current enrollment in the latter part of an undergraduate program. 
  • At least 1 year of web design and development experience OR equivalent internship or schoolwork experience. 
  • Familiarity and experience with WordPress. 
  • Experience working in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and PHP. 
  • Excellent communication skills and can work collaboratively within a team. 
  • Understanding of SEO principles, and working knowledge of tools like Search Console and SEMrush is a plus. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. 
  • Some understanding of Google Analytics and Hotjar for valuable insight extraction.
