Data Science Dojo engineered a robust analytics framework using Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI to integrate, standardize, and visualize TrackWise data across all sites. The implementation delivered over 100 tailored dashboards for both site-specific and enterprise-level insights, providing a unified platform for compliance analytics across the organization.
The solution streamlined data integration and visualization. Secure connections were established between Azure Synapse and each site’s TrackWise SQL Server database. Serverless SQL pools created site-specific views to harmonize schemas and standardize dimensions such as Department, Root Cause, Record Type, and Risk. Synapse pipelines automate data extraction and refresh cycles.
In Power BI, over 100 dashboards were developed, including both site-specific reports and cross-site analytics. These dashboards featured dynamic filters, drill-through capabilities, and visuals such as stacked column charts, line charts, and matrix tables covering metrics like CAPA timeliness, deviation trends, and change control performance. A standardized data model ensured unified KPIs—such as CAPA Effectiveness, Deviation Closure Timeliness, and Change Control Overdue Percentage—providing consistent, comparable insights across all sites and enhancing enterprise-wide compliance analytics.
Implementation was planned methodically. Connections to TrackWise databases were first established through Azure Synapse. Then, Synapse serverless SQL views were built to harmonize metrics and schemas. Automated pipelines were scheduled for daily refreshes, eliminating the need for manual data handling.
Next, Power BI dashboards were developed with role-based access, giving each site visibility into its own performance while enabling leadership to compare results enterprise-wide. Interactive elements such as filters for Year, Quarter, and Department made the dashboards intuitive and powerful tools for decision-making. The intuitive design meant that both site managers and executives could extract insights quickly without extensive training.
