Why this role exists:

Most analytics teams stop at dashboards, meanwhile, the real value comes from building data solutions that drive action, automate insight, and power the next wave of AI-driven decision-making. At Data Science Dojo, we’re not just visualizing data; we’re architecting analytics ecosystems for global clients who want to move faster, see deeper, and unlock the full potential of their data.

Data Science Dojo is helping clients go beyond static reports to build dynamic, AI-powered analytics platforms. We’re expanding our analytics and AI consulting practice, and need a Data Analyst who can design end-to-end solutions, from data modeling to dashboarding to automation and AI integration. You’ll work directly with international clients, shaping analytics strategies, building robust reporting systems, and supporting the adoption of next-generation tools like Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI, and RAG-based workflows.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand business challenges, gather requirements, and translate them into scalable analytics solutions.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using modern BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), enabling executive and operational decision-making.
  • Perform advanced data transformation, cleansing, and modeling using Power Query (M), SQL, and cloud analytics platforms like Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse.
  • Build scalable semantic models, develop advanced DAX calculations, and optimize dashboard performance for large, complex datasets.
  • Integrate data from diverse sources, SQL databases, APIs, cloud platforms, Excel, CSV, SharePoint, Salesforce, SAP, and other enterprise systems.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to build and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines and reporting infrastructure.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities through exploratory and statistical data analysis.
  • Automate reporting and business workflows using Power Automate and other workflow automation tools.
  • Support AI-powered analytics initiatives by integrating Azure AI Services, OpenAI models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and LLM-based workflows.
  • Contribute to the design of user-friendly analytics applications and embedded reporting experiences.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders, making complex insights actionable.
  • Mentor junior analysts through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on emerging technologies in Microsoft Fabric, AI, and business intelligence.

The skills and expertise you bring:

  • Degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, information systems, or equivalent practical background.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or consulting.
  • Strong experience building dashboards, reports, and semantic models using modern BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Advanced proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M) for data modeling and transformation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of working directly with clients and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and optimizing relational databases.
  • Experience with data modeling, star schema design, and semantic layer development.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems, APIs, and cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, AWS, GCP).
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, or analytics (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, scikit-learn).
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Bonus Points:

  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) or Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600) certification.
  • Experience with Azure AI Services, OpenAI APIs, or integrating LLMs into analytics workflows.
  • Experience with Power Automate or other workflow automation platforms.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Knowledge of PySpark or distributed data processing frameworks.
