As a recent college graduate, this bootcamp was perfectly suited for me. I did not attend the camp with a specific goal in mind, business-related or otherwise. Instead, I wanted to learn as much as I could about the field of Data Science. I was interested in learning the underlying principles and how someone like me could become more involved, either as a hobby or a career path.

The Data Science Dojo bootcamp, and especially instructor Raja, were exactly what I needed to break into data science. At the end of such an intensive week I felt grounded in the basics of how to apply data science techniques or methods to a wide variety of problems. I also recognized just how little I knew about the more specific aspects of the field and exactly how they are implemented in different contexts.

You will not become a bonafide “Data Scientist” through this camp, but you will leave with a firm knowledge of what is possible, how to tackle data in its many forms, and where to look to learn more about your own particular interests or to become more specialized.

Raja did a great job explaining complicated topics. I like that I came away understanding how the tuning parameters affect bias vs variance. I also liked the introduction to Azure as it would solve a lot of business problems if I could get my organization to adopt it.
